Day 12: Deep in the Heart of Me in Kindle Scout

Oh, I see! I don’t know how many votes I have for my book Deep in the Heart of Me. I only see page views! So I have another 22 page views for a total now of 842 and there are 17 days left. Can I make it to 1000? I hope so. Personal goal here. Again most of my views are from the site itself. Then FB.

Back to work today after being off last week. I got a lot done with writing last week. But the party is over for now. Lift that bar, tote that bail, get a little drunk…you know the rest. I won’t be lifting, toting or drinking. Thanks for voting if you have already. And if not…this could be the day!

Day 11 in Kindle Scout

23 votes yesterday! 820 total! 18 days left. Most of my traffic from the KS site, then FB. Thank you, 23 people! From…Deep in the Heart of Me.

Have you voted? If not…here is the site: https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/2GGMKWUKVWYQY

Thanks!

Day 10 in Kindle Scout

Ten more wonderful voters showed up and pushed the nominate me box since yesterday. Probably six came from the site itself, and four from FB. 797 total votes. I’ll probably cross 800 today but take nothing for granted.

I am in the arena, a bloody gladiator awaiting my fate from Ceasar–thumbs up…or thumbs down? You are the crowd, and you have Ceasar’s ear. So what will it be? Will I get fed to a lion or will I be spared to fight another day?

I have nineteen days left in the arena…er program. Nineteen days left to stand here, hungry lions in the background. Gosh it’s fun!

Thanks to all who voted. If you have not? Please do. ‘I who am about to die, salute you!’

Day 9 in Kindle Scout

Ten more votes yesterday! Up to 787 total votes. 53% from the KS site and the rest from Facebook. Hearing remnants of “Staying Alive” in the back of mind, and yes, seeing Travolta in the white pantsuit, hand raised in the air.

I have faced my mortality. Live to see another day. Seize the day. Make a good day. One day at a time. Day by day. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. This too shall pass. All things pass. Pass me not. I pass.

What?

Thanks to all who voted. If you’re thinking of voting, there are twenty days in which to do that. But don’t put it off too long. Like don’t go twenty-one days! Okay. Here’s what will happen if you vote–not only will your ‘good person’ meter spike up–way up, but I see a turkey in your future. I can’t explain it, but sometime in the future you will either get a pet turkey or eat turkey. But turkey is coming. So please vote for me!

Moms on Missions: Book 1 of the Mommageddon Series Kindle Edition by Jess Molly Brown

A must read! The hot off the press 5-Star edition of Jess Molly Brown’s new book, Moms on Missions.

Jess explains the Kindle Book like this:

Artist Vince Russo wants to advance his career but his devout mother, Diana, wants grandchildren. Vince lives in Niagara Falls and he doesn’t even date!

Diana joins the Moms on Missions (“MOM”), who strive to better the lives of their clients’ kids. MOM installs Vince’s fantasy girl upstairs in the duplex where he lives.

Their pick for Vince is sick of dancing to her mother’s tune, so she certainly won’t admit she finds her sensitive, playful neighbour sexy. However, she’d love to make him her pseudo-boyfriend to get MOM off her back.

Will these young rebels come together organically, or is there no hope for their moms?

Jess Molly is a wonderful writer. I just bought my copy and review will follow. For a fun summer read, this is a good one.

Day 8 in Kindle Scout

Ten votes yesterday for a total of 777. It would be great to reach 1000. We’ll see. 21 days left and it seems like it’s going fast. My life goes fast.

Went to the graduation last night. So many speakers! Found myself staring at the program. I tend to do that at these things. But such emotion when we saw our boy in cap and gown! Then out for dinner. Home today. Good-bye beautiful Michigan. Six hour trip ahead. So worth it.

I appreciate the continued voting. Deeply touched that ten more of you came out of the far reaches yesterday. If there are any others, I would appreciate your nomination.

Day 7 in Kindle Scout

Good morning! Here are the Kindle Scout stats from May 31st:  34 additional votes for a total of 767. My book, Deep in the Heart of Me, has been hot 106 hours out of 168 hours in the program. 22 days left.

Most of my votes were from the KS site. 2nd to that FB is my big driver. So there you have it, a day in the life of an Indie fiction writer trying out Amazon’s Kindle Scout initiative. In between this, I’ve been on vacation, helping my husband rip up our kitchen floor. Had to travel out of town for a funeral yesterday. Traveling to a graduation today. I am doing a rewrite of some of my post-WW2 book titled: Running With Monkeys. Nothing like some time off!

If you’ve voted–many thanks. If you haven’t–please do and may good fortune and splendid health follow you all the days of your life! Here is the link:

Field Day

Day 6 in Kindle Scout

Oh my. Day Six. 63 more votes for a total of 733. No hours in hotness so still holding at 106. 23 days left. Most votes garnered from the KS site. Next they come from Facebook. Thanks to all who voted! Can’t wait to see what the day holds–on all fronts.

Last night my husband called me to come look out the bedroom window. The window itself was lit up with fireflies and as far as we could see the night was twinkling with them. I’ve never seen them in such numbers. Really beautiful. Hope you make a great day today.
