Finding My Thunder

It’s young love. First love. It’s like thunder.

Danny moved closer and findingmythundercoverJPEGhe pressed his lips against mine. It only lasted for a few seconds, but when he pulled back he smiled at me. “I want to keep going,” he said.

I grabbed onto him and pulled him forward and rolled onto my back. I was looking at him and him at me and we weren’t laughing at all now, just breathing.

“You know I’m leaving,” he said.

“You run away from me. You always have.”

He shook his head and his hands gripped my shoulders hard. “You’re my only reason to stay.”
